Real time accrual accounting updates all accounts whenever you make an entry using standard double-entry procedures.  The Sales Journal sends information here when you create invoices.  The Expense Journal sends information here when you write checks (customized to the paper format you want to use). Alternatively, you can make General Ledger entries directly for all financial transactions.  You can print budget variance reports as well as Balance Sheet / Income Statements comparing different time periods side by side.  The G/L Detail Report can summarize account balances or display every line item in every account.  You can customize your chart of accounts (the basic structure of your business) and reconcile bank statements. Transactions are displayed in multiple ways on screen for quick analysis.
